Inquest into the Deaths of Christopher Campbell and Fabian Hart

Mr. Campbell, 55, died on October 11, 2018; and Mr. Hart, 34, died on February 2, 2021. Both individuals died in hospital while in the custody of the London Police Service. Inquests into their deaths are mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding their deaths. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.

The inquest is expected to last 14 days and hear from approximately 20 witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025. Dr. John Carlisle will be the presiding officer. Kate Forget and Indira Stewart will be the inquest counsel.

The Presiding Officer has directed that no person shall make any recording or take photos or screen captures of the Inquest from either the video conference or the live stream of the Inquest over the internet.
