Inquest into the Death of Jennifer Fellinger
The inquest will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026. Dr. Jennifer Tang will be the presiding officer and Phillip Tsui will be the inquest counsel.
Ms. Fellinger, 31 years old, died in hospital on February 12, 2019 after being transferred from the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton. An inquest into her death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Ms. Fellinger’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.
The inquest is expected to last five days and hear from approximately 12 witnesses.
