Inquest into the Death of Amanda Bolt

The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Dr. John Carlisle will be the presiding officer. Kate Forget and Indira Stewart will be the inquest counsel.

Ms. Bolt, 28 years old, died on November 13, 2019, in hospital while in the custody of the London Police Service. An inquest into her death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Ms. Bolt’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.

The inquest is expected to last seven days and hear from approximately nine witnesses.
