The Association of Canadian Psychology Regulatory Organizations is pleased to offer the virtual session: \u201cCultural Safety and Humility \u2013 It Starts With Me\u201d. This important session will be led by facilitator Shannon Beauchamp (Migizi Miigwan Equae), who will introduce key concepts regarding Cultural Safety, including cultural awareness, cultural sensitivity, cultural competency, cultural humility, relational practice, trauma and intergenerational trauma, trauma stewardship, and accountability, and the acknowledgment that Change starts with me<\/em>. I am a woman of mixed ancestry. On my mother\u2019s side, I am Ojibwe, Bear clan, and my family comes from the Garden River First Nation in Northern Ontario. On my paternal side, I am Irish-Canadian from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I now call W\u0331S\u00c1NE\u0106 \/ Victoria, British Columbia my home.<\/p>\n

I am a facilitator, consultant, storyteller, keynote speaker, and kindness ambassador. I specialize in the areas of Cultural Safety and Humility, Lateral Kindness, lateral violence, Reconciliation, resilience, and authentic leadership.<\/p>\n
